Prof. Yuping ZHAO is the visiting professor of School of Economics and Management, BUPT, and visiting professor at Emlyon Business School. He has served as a keynote speaker on CCTV's "Hundreds of Lectures". His research interests include leadership theory, human resources and ancient Chinese management thoughts. His teaching interests include "Introduction to Management", "Talent Selection and Success", "Interpretation of Wisdom in Traditional Culture", "Water Margin and Management" and "The Use of Psychology in Management". Prof. ZHAO was awarded with The First Prize of Quality Course for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programs, The Most Popular Lecturer, The Most Popular Lecturer of MBA Program and Top Ten Distinguished Lecturers by BUPT.

Prof. ZHAO was recognized as “Top Ten National Studies Lecturers” and “Top Ten Management Trainers” by the media. He has provided the consulting service on training of traditional culture, team management and human resources management for Fortune 500 companies, including PetroChina, Sinopec, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, China Construction Bank, Bank of China, China Mobile, China Telecom, China Unicom and Air China.

In March 2004, his book “Beyond the Stronger”was published by Tsinghua University Press, followed by the best-seller “Politics at Water Margin”in June 2005, which has been reprinted 12 times, and was selected as one of the Top Ten Financial Bestsellers. This book is also published in Japan and Taiwan. Prof. Zhao also starred in CCTV's "Hundreds of Lectures" on "Let's Bring Wisdom to Zhuge Liang", "Study Management with Sima Yi" and "Enlightenment from Cao Cao", and won the Best Viewed Lectures of the Year Award. In 2014, he shared his expertise on management and psychology through CCTV’s "Liu Bei's Strategy" program.
