Conditions for Admission

  • Applicants are required to graduate with a bachelor's degree (or above), with a total of 8 years of work experience or longer, including 5 or more years of management experience; or graduate with an associate bachelor’s degree with 10 years of work experience or longer, including 7 or more years of management experience;
  • Applicants with excellent professional track records and senior management experience will be preferred;
  • With excellent vision and keen insight, be able to participate in classroom session and good at communication and sharing to enrich the learning experience and gains of GEMBA peers; and
  • The Program has no requirement on the applicants’ English proficiency. All courses taught in English are equipped with on-site Chinese interpretation.

Application Procedures

The enrollment process consists of four stages:

An applicant who has been accepted will receive a formal acceptance letter, tuition information and payment notice. After signing the letter of intent for admission, the applicant can register the Program with his/her acceptance letter.

1.Pre-application
  • An applicant needs to pre-apply for the Program online;
  • After reviewing the pre-application documents of the applicant, GEMBA Office will inform qualified applicants to prepare an application package and schedule his/her written test and interview.
2.Application

A qualified applicant will be informed to submit an application package to GEMBA Office, including:

  • 1 copy of application form filled out, printed and signed by the applicant;
  • 2 letters of reference written by the managers, colleagues or business partners of the applicant and sent directly to GEMBA Office;
  • 1 copy of his/her highest academic degree certificate, while the original copy shall be submitted on the day of the written test and interview for authentication;
  • 1 copy of ID or passport, 2 photos and 2 business cards; and
  • Registration fee: RMB1,000 (non-refundable).
3.Written test and interview

GEMBA Admissions Committee will review all application packages and arrange applicants to sit in the official entrance examination (comprehensive quality test) and interview. The schedule of admission interview in 2019 Autumn Intake is as follows and the venue will be notified separately:

4.Admission

GEMBA Admissions Committee will conduct a comprehensive review of the application packages, profiles and the written test and interview results, and select the best candidates for admission. The final application result will be confirmed within 10 business days, which will be communicated to the applicant in the form of an email and an official letter upon approval by the partnering institutions.

Tuition

  • Registration fee: RMB1,000 (non-refundable).
  • Tuition: RMB408,000 for two years. The tuition includes GEMBA courses and workshops, textbooks, teaching notes, translation and interpretation, usage of emlyon and BUPT resources, dissertation defense and tea breaks. The costs of accommodation, transportation and meals during the Program shall be borne by the participants.
  • International Business Trip in France: RMB 58,000. The fee covers the cost of studying in France, including workshops and company visits in Europe, lunch and tea break. Round-trip airfare, land transportation and part of accommodation and meals shall be borne by the participants. International Business Trip in France is a compulsory and core module of emlyon GEMBA Program.
