_Mao (Sunrise): 5:00-7:00 AM_

When the morning breeze passed through Rollins College, the first sunshine in the early autumn awakened the vitality of all things and the minds of emlyon DBA candidates, who were fully prepared for the new day.

_Chen (Breakfast): 7:00-9:00 AM_

Hosted by China Globalization Association (CGA), the 13th China Internationalization Forum was held at Rollins College, which is known as one of the most beautiful campuses in the southern United States.

Nearly 100 leading scholars, business leaders and international business experts from more than a dozen of countries witnessed the event and discussed a number of hotspot topics in political, business and academic communities, including China’s technology innovation strategy, the Belt and Road Initiative, the China-US relations and China's overseas investment. emlyon Global DBA participants were also invited to participate in this academic event and convey and share their cutting-edge findings.

_Si (Morning): 9:00-11:00 AM_

As a guest speaker, Ms. Wu Chuanjuan from emlyon Global DBA 2018 intake shared her research, “Analyzing Complexity and Agility of Chinese EV Supply Chain”. Theoretically, she focused on the intersection of supply chain management, organizational behavior and new product development, that is, open collaboration. At the practical level, she studied the interplay between upstream and downstream partners in the supply chain during new product development process, representing co-creation, mutual benefit and win-win. Meanwhile, she stressed that institutional factors cannot be ignored, because government intervention, supply chain relations and trade wars all have a crucial impact on supply chain strategy. Her work revealed a better understanding on how China's electric vehicle supply chain supports the rapid development of the segment in a complex context.

_Wu (Noon): 11:00-13:00 PM_

After a highly intense and fully loaded brainstorm, emlyon DBA participants took a brief break and prepared for the afternoon session.However, this self-demanding group also utilized the limited time to further discuss the topics of the morning session. Inadvertently, the research ideas were enlightened, and new inspirations were generated.

_Wei (Early afternoon): 13:00-15:00 PM_

Invited by the organizers, the group of emlyon DBA 2018 and 2019 participants visited the head office of Tupperware, known as the “originator of experiential marketing” and talked with its former president. Tupperware has been named one of the “World's Most Admired Companies” by Fortune Magazine ever since 2008 and won the 9th place in Fortune's “100 Great Things about America”.

_Shen (Afternoon): 15:00-17:00 PM_

The three-days course provided an doctoral-level overview of a few frontier topics in management and business research, including big data analytics, social entrepreneurship, and international business.

The course is taught respectively by Prof. Xiaohua Yang from University of San Francisco, Prof. Mary Conway Dato-on and Prof. Wenxian Zhang from Rollins College, and Prof. Xiaojing Dong from Santa Clara University.

This course provides students with the opportunity to develop critical thinking skills regarding research problem defining, theories development, research design, and methods as well as the ability to apply advanced theories and research methods to their own research programs.

_You (Sunfall): 17:00-19:00 PM_

Osceola, Virginia and Mizell Lakes surround Rollins College, which is known for its liberal arts, beautiful campus and great nature. emlyon DBA candidates and all participants joined the lake cruise and listened to the stories of the College and the Lakes told by Captain Sam.

_Xu (Evening): 19:00-21:00 PM_

The group watched the classic drama "The Humans" at the Anne Russell Theatre, which is included in the National Register of Historic Places. Stephen Karam, writer, once said, " I think it's scary to be alive, but also exhilarating and joyful." His worldview laid the foundation for "The Humans", a slightly horrifying family play that is both witty and gripping and calls us to think about what is really important in life.

_Hai (Nightfall): 21:00-23:00 PM_

After a day of intensive challenges, DBAers returned to their rooms. With 12 hours of time difference, they were connected to their families in China, sharing their joy and the wonderful and exciting moments of the grand military parade celebrating the 70th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China across the Pacific.

_Zi (Midnight): 23:00-1:00 AM & Chou (Break): 1:00-3:00 AM_

At the peaceful night, along with the showers typical in Florida in this season and the dim street lights, DBAers fell asleep.

_Yin (Dawn): 3:00-5:00 AM_

When the street lights were still on, the daylight came out. The cool moist rose from Lake Osceola next to Rollins College, and the little squirrels standing on the century-old oak trees greeted the world with a stretch. And we knew that the dawn of the new day arrived.
