The alumni celebration of emlyon's 150th anniversary

On the occasion of the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the School, nearly 900 alumni gathered on Saturday, October 1st at the Maison de la Mutualité in Paris around a festive and unifying moment, saluting the history of the school and its future.

Valérie Milone, President of emlyon alumni, and Marc Thiollier, Advancement & Alumni Relations Director and master of ceremonies, inaugurated the celebration by warmly greeting the room!

First of all, it was the graduates of the 2019 and 2020 classes, wearing their red ribbons. The students extended applause to graduates whose degree awarding ceremony was failed to be held as scheduled due to the pandemic.

After the broadcast of the film retracing the 150 years of emlyon history, Isabelle Huault, Dean and President of Executive Board of emlyon business school, took the floor to review the key events of the school and look forward to the projects that will be carried out in the future.

This was followed by a round table on inclusion led by Lucie Constant, General Delegate of the emlyon business school Foundation. Our graduates Yann Bucaille-Lanrezac (founder of Café Joyeux), Nathalie Péchalat (lecturer and former president of the French Federation of Ice Sports), Thomas Gasselin, (former president of the student association Forum) and professor and sociologist Lisa Buchter, shed their personal and professional light on this beautiful subject.
