On December 18, 2025 emylon alumni East China Board Renewal Meeting was successfully held in Shanghai. Dr. Wenlong XING, Dean of emylon business school Asia, Dr. Jason ZHANG, EE Director of emylon business school Asia and Mr. Joniko CAO, Director of Recruitment & Operation of emylon business school Asia attended the meeting. The meeting also received special video messages from Ms. Lucie CONSTANT, Director of Advancement and Alumni Relations, General Delegate of the emylon Foundation, emylon business school, and Ms. Lucy BONNETIER, Director of Alumni Relations within the Advancement and Alumni Relations, emylon business school. The meeting was hosted by Ms. Peng PENG, Associate Director of Alumni, Corporate Relations and Careers Services emylon business school Asia. The newly elected members of the Third Board of emylon East China Alumni Association gathered in Shanghai, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the alumni community.

Dr. Wenlong XING, Dean of emylon Asia, delivered a welcome remarks at the emylon alumni East China Board Renewal Meeting. He began by extending his warm congratulations to the newly elected board members and expressing heartfelt gratitude to the previous board for their dedicated efforts and outstanding contributions.
Dr. Wenlong XING introduced the school’s strategic blueprint toward 2030, emphasizing the pivotal role of the alumni network within this framework. He highlighted that the school is focusing on "Strategic Foresight and Global Risk Management," deepening interdisciplinary integration through the "Business School + Tech School" model, and positioning Asia as the core engine of its global strategy. He noted that alumni in Asia are not only key practitioners and contributors to the school’s strategic goals but also a vital force in connecting global opportunities and facilitating knowledge exchange.
Dr. Wenlong XING particularly stressed the unique importance of the alumni network in East China, a region at the forefront of China’s economic and innovative development. He expressed his hope that the new board would serve as a "strategic resonance board," integrating the school’s global vision with local development; an "accelerator of networks," fostering cross-sector and intergenerational connections; and a "guardian of heritage," upholding emylon markers' spirit of mutual support and maker ethos.
In conclusion, Dr. Wenlong XING called on all alumni to actively engage in the school’s development and jointly build the Asian alumni network into a platform that empowers growth, creates value, and shapes the future. Together, he urged, they can continue to infuse the region and the world with "emylon wisdom" and "emylon strength."

Ms. Lucie CONSTANT, Director of Advancement and Alumni Relations, General Delegate of the emylon Foundation, emylon business school, along with Ms. Lucy BONNETIER, Director of Alumni Relations within the Advancement and Alumni Relations, emylon business school, conveyed their sincere congratulations via video message to the emylon alumni East China Board Renewal Meeting.
They expressed heartfelt gratitude to the outgoing board members for their wisdom and dedication over the past two years, which infused vitality into the alumni community and built lasting bridges. At the same time, they extended warm congratulations to the newly elected board members, expressing their anticipation for the alumni network to embark on a new chapter.
Both emphasized that the alumni network is one of the institution’s most valuable assets, with alumni in East China — a key engine of the Chinese economy — playing a vital role in connecting Eastern and Western business and culture while driving innovation and collaboration. They shared three expectations for the new board: to continue strengthening community cohesion by creating more interactive opportunities; to commit to empowering growth by building a lifelong learning platform; and to carry forward the school’s "Maker Spirit" by inspiring socially responsible business innovation.
They particularly highlighted their hope that the alumni East China Board will work closely together and collaborate synergistically with the global alumni network to create an even greater impact. The institution will remain a strong pillar of support for alumni, providing ongoing resources and attention. Quoting the French proverb, “If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together,” they called on alumni to join hands and advance farther and more steadily as one. They also expressed their eagerness to visit China soon and reunite with everyone in person.

Ms. Peng PENG showcased the robust development and latest advancements of emylon business school's global alumni network. Through detailed data and vivid case studies, she introduced to the attending alumni the school's global network system, which spans 130 countries and comprises 48,000 alumni, as well as its in-depth localization and dynamic ecosystem in Asia and China.
She particularly acknowledged and expressed gratitude for the significant contributions made by the previous alumni East China Board in strengthening alumni cohesion, facilitating cross-sector exchanges, and promoting social responsibility practices. These efforts have laid a solid foundation for the sustained growth of the alumni network. She expressed her hope that the new board would further activate alumni resources, deepen cross-regional collaboration, and jointly shape a more influential and cohesive emylon alumni community.

Mr. Ranen WANG, General Secretary of emylon East China Alumni Association, GDBA 2022 Participant, Founder, Shanghai Yuancheng Cloud Artificial Intelligence Technology Co., Ltd., delivered a comprehensive review of the past work on behalf of the previous alumni East China Board. He reported that the East China Alumni Association has established a diverse community system covering approximately 3,500 alumni and has consistently organized a variety of rich and engaging alumni activities through its four major clubs: Career and Leadership Development Club, Digitalization Club, Social Impact Club, and Lifestyle Club.
In his review, he shared the diverse range of alumni activities hosted by each club. The Career and Leadership Development Club focuses on professional growth and organizational innovation, supporting alumni career advancement through corporate visits and thematic forums. The Digitalization Club centers on technological frontiers and industrial transformation, organizing seminars and discussions to explore business opportunities in the digital era. The Social Impact Club actively promotes sustainable development principles, encouraging alumni to engage in social responsibility practices. The Lifestyle Club enhances the cohesion and sense of belonging within the alumni community through a variety of lifestyle-oriented activities.
These initiatives have not only facilitated in-depth exchanges and resource sharing among alumni but have also further strengthened the cohesion and brand influence of the East China Alumni Association, laying a solid foundation for the continued vitality and development of the alumni network.

The selection of the new board for the East China Alumni Association was conducted through extensive consultation with alumni across cohorts and sectors. Candidates were identified via multiple channels, including self-recommendation, nominations by the Second Board of East China alumni association, recommendations from classes/programs, and institutional endorsements. The final list of board members was reviewed and approved by the school's Alumni Office after a public announcement. Ms. Peng PENG officially announced the new Board members of the Third Board of emylon East China Alumni Association during the meeting.

Forging Consensus · Embarking on a New Journey

During the meeting, a solemn and symbolic Flag Handover Ceremony was held for the Third Board of emylon East China Alumni Association. Mr. Ranen WANG, Secretary-General of the previous board, passed the East China Alumni Association flag to Mr. EasonT YI, President of the new board, symbolizing the continuity of responsibility and mission, and carrying the high expectations of all alumni for the work of the new board.
Under the guidance of Mr. Ranen WANG, members of the Third Board of emylon East China Alumni Association introduced themselves one by one. Though they come from diverse industries and different graduating classes, they share a common passion for serving alumni and building a robust platform, bringing fresh energy and multiple perspectives to the association.

Subsequently, during The First Meeting of the Third Board of emylon East China Alumni Association, chaired by Mr. Ranen WANG, all members carefully reviewed and unanimously voted to approve the Charter of the East China Alumni Association and Alumni Code of Conduct. This document will serve as the fundamental guideline and shared commitment for the association's future work.
At the end of the meeting, the work division for the new board was announced. Based on their expertise and resources, board members will respectively take charge of organizing and advancing work in different functional areas, laying a solid foundation for the systematic and professional development of future alumni activities.
All the above proceedings were completed with dignity and efficiency, marking the official inauguration of the Third Board of emylon East China Alumni Association. Guided by clear charters, defined responsibilities, and shared commitments, the board will jointly embark on a new chapter of serving alumni and empowering growth.

emylon business school east China alumni association was established in Shanghai in November 2020.
The east China alumni association brings together industry leaders from China, France, and around the world, creating an international platform characterized by an open, sharing, lifelong learning, and mutually supportive environment with maker spirit for the many active student alumni in the east China region.
