As students of the MSc in Health Management & Data Intelligence, we had the opportunity to take part in a one-week learning expedition to Denmark DK. This journey far exceeded my expectations —it allowed me to explore the vast and complex healthcare industry from new and insightful angles .
We visited a wide range of leading Danish companies and gained a deeper understanding of the local healthcare ecosystem. It was fascinating to witness how the theories we learn in class are applied in real-life business contexts. From globally recognized pharmaceutical firms like Novo Nordisk to LEO Pharma, a pioneer in dermatological treatments, each company showcased its own unique innovation path.
Beyond the pharmaceutical sector, we explored top players in healthcare technology and services such as 3Shape, GN Group, CortiCorti,Novonesis, FLACK, and Cortrium. Each visit offered valuable insights into the integration of technology and care delivery. We also gained exposure to the legal and consulting dimensions of the healthcare sector. Our visits included Gorrissen Federspiel , SAP, and Capgemini. These interactions helped us develop a more comprehensive understanding of how the industry operates from a regulatory and strategic perspective.
We were incredibly lucky to enjoy sunny weather throughout our stay, which made exploring the fairytale city of Copenhagen even more magical . Our program leader also shared many great local recommendations that enriched our weekend explorations.
Overall, this learning expedition was both intellectually stimulating and personally rewarding. It offered fresh perspectives and sparked new thoughts about the future of health industries at the intersection of theory, innovation, and real-world application.
