On May 21, our students visited the headquarters of Freshippo (Hema) in Shanghai as part of their immersive learning journey.
They explored Freshippo’s innovative retail model in China and attended an insightful keynote by Mr. Alexandre Souzy Alexandre Souzy titled “Understanding Retail Market Specificities between China and Europe & Field Insights from the Wine Industry in the Korean Retail Market.”
The session offered students hands-on exposure to the diverse dynamics of Asian and European retail landscapes, bridging global strategy with practical knowledge.
We were also pleased to welcome international students from ECNU AEBS, who joined the event for cross-cultural exchange and rich discussions, deepening mutual understanding and global perspectives.

On May 23, students from the MSc in GSE visited Schneider Electric as part of their immersive learning journey.
The visit was thoughtfully organized and hosted by Mr. Roman WangRoman Wang, Vice President of Global Supply Chain and 2021 Global DBA alumni at emlyon, Ms. Goya GaoGoya Gao, Plant General Manager, and Ms. Nicole LIU, HR Manager.
The session began with a comprehensive introduction by Mr. Roman WANG, who outlined Schneider Electric’s global supply chain layout and strategic approach to smart, resilient operations.
Ms. Goya GAO then led students through a guided plant tour, offering a firsthand look at how digital technologies support efficiency and sustainabilityon the production line.
The visit concluded with an interactive Q&A session with Ms. Nicole LIU from the HR team. Topics ranged from global career development paths and talent programs to intercultural workplace experience. A fun quiz with small gifts added a light-hearted close to this highly informative session.
