As a core international module of the MSc in International Hospitality Management program, students from emlyon business school undertook an intensive two-month academic and practical experience at UNLV Harrah College of Hospitality in Las Vegas, gaining firsthand exposure to North American hospitality operations and service innovation.

The program commenced with a Kick-off Corporate Mentor Welcome Session at Palm Casino Resort, launching an In-Company Project collaboration with Palm Casino Resort and Encore Global. Teams tackled real-world business challenges, developing strategic recommendations while honing cross-cultural collaboration, customer-centric thinking, and problem-solving skills.

UNLV delivered cutting-edge industry modules, including:

Deepening understanding of the symbiotic relationship between urban development and the hospitality sector.

Beyond coursework and corporate projects, students earned the globally recognized CHIA (Certified Hotel Industry Analytics) certification – validating expertise in market data interpretation, competitive analysis, and data-driven decision-making.

The module concluded with final project presentations to corporate partners and the awarding of Completion Certificates by UNLV Harrah College of Hospitality. This multidimensional, cross-cultural experience has equipped participants with a robust global perspective and a solid foundation for leadership careers in international hospitality.
