From MIT to BCG: A Strategic Learning Journey in Boston Exploring Corporate Frontlines and Tackling Real-World Consulting Challenges

As part of the recently concluded International Seminar Week, students from the MSc in Strategy & Consulting program at emlyon business school embarked on an immersive academic journey to Boston and Cambridge, USA—renowned global hubs for innovation and strategic leadership. Through corporate visits and in-depth discussions with senior executives, the cohort gained firsthand insight into the evolving dynamics of innovation and strategic thinking at a global scale.
Over the course of the week, students visited leading organizations such as the Cambridge Innovation Center, Dassault Systèmes North America, and Sanofi. They also engaged in meaningful exchanges with senior leaders from top-tier consulting firms including BCG, EY, and Accenture, participating in expert-led seminars focused on innovation, growth strategy, and consulting practices.
The itinerary further included field visits to Kendall Square—one of the world’s most iconic innovation districts—where students connected with alumni, local entrepreneurs, and representatives from “Team France,” strengthening their international professional networks.
This global learning experience not only broadened students’ international perspectives but also enhanced their strategic acumen and intercultural communication skills in real-world business settings—laying a strong foundation for future careers in international strategy and consulting.
