On the afternoon of December 22, 2025, the 2025 emlyon alumni North China Board Renewal Meeting was grandly held at the National Stadium in Beijing and successfully concluded. Dr. Wenlong XING, Dean of emlyon business school Asia, Dr. Jason ZHANG, EE Director of emlyon business school Asia attended the event, and Ms. Peng PENG, Associate Director of Alumni, Corporate Relations and Careers Services at emlyon business school Asia. Ms. Changyu ZHANG, Director of the Alumni Affairs Office of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, was present as a special guest. The meeting also received special video messages from Ms. Lucie CONSTANT, Director of Advancement and Alumni Relations, General Delegate of the emlyon Foundation, emlyon business school, and Ms. Lucy BONNETIER, Director of Alumni Relations within the Advancement and Alumni Relations, emlyon business school. The new board members of emlyon North China Alumni Association gathered in Beijing, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the alumni community.

The meeting kicked off in a solemn and warm atmosphere. Dr. Wenlong XING, Dean of emlyon business school Asia, delivered a welcome speech first. He began by extending his warm congratulations to the new board members and expressing heartfelt gratitude to the previous 3rd Board for their dedicated efforts and outstanding contributions.
Dr. Wenlong XING introduced the school's strategic blueprint toward 2030, emphasizing the pivotal role of the alumni network within this framework. He highlighted that the school is focusing on "Strategic Foresight and Global Risk Management," deepening interdisciplinary integration through the "Business School + Tech School" model, and positioning Asia as the core engine of its global strategy. He noted that alumni in Asia are not only key practitioners and contributors to the school's strategic goals but also a vital force in connecting global opportunities and facilitating knowledge exchange.
Dr. Wenlong XING particularly stressed the unique importance of the alumni network in North China — a region that serves as China's political, economic, and cultural hub. He expressed his hope that the new board would serve as a "strategic resonance board," integrating the school's global vision with local development opportunities in North China; an "accelerator of networks," fostering cross-sector and intergenerational connections among alumni; and a "guardian of heritage," upholding emlyon' spirit of mutual support and maker ethos.

Ms. Lucie CONSTANT, Director of Advancement and Alumni Relations, General Delegate of the emlyon Foundation, emlyon business school, along with Ms. Lucy BONNETIER, Director of Alumni Relations within the Advancement and Alumni Relations, emlyon business school, conveyed their sincere congratulations via video message to the 2025 emlyon alumni North China Board Renewal Meeting.
They expressed heartfelt gratitude to the outgoing 3rd Board members for their wisdom and dedication over the past two years, which infused vitality into the alumni community and built lasting bridges. At the same time, they extended warm congratulations to the newly elected 4th Board members, expressing their anticipation for the North China alumni network to embark on a new chapter.
Both emphasized that the alumni network is one of the institution's most valuable assets, with alumni in North China — a core driver of China's development — playing a vital role in connecting Eastern and Western business and culture while driving innovation and collaboration. They shared three expectations for the new board: to continue strengthening community cohesion by creating more valuable interactive opportunities; to commit to empowering alumni growth by building a lifelong learning and resource-sharing platform; and to carry forward the school's "Maker Spirit" by inspiring socially responsible business innovation and practices.
Board Renewal Ceremony: Passing the Torch, Writing a New Chapter

Ms. Peng PENG, Associate Director of Alumni, Corporate Relations and Careers Services emlyon business school Asia, introduced the robust development and latest advancements of emlyon business school's global alumni network to the meeting. Through detailed data, she showcased the school's global network system spanning 130 countries with 48,000 alumni, and reviewed the growth journey of student alumni associations in various regions.

Subsequently, Mr. Zhongji QIN, Secretary-General of the 3rd emlyon North China Alumni Association , delivered a comprehensive review of the past work on behalf of the previous board. His report, titled "Work Report of the 3rd Alumni Association Board," systematically summarized the achievements and insights over the past two years. The report noted that the 3rd Board has always advanced its work around four core pillars: organizational development, alumni activities, alumni services, and interaction with the mother school, achieving fruitful results. Over the past two years, the alumni association has recruited more than 100 new board members, covering approximately 500 alumni participants; successfully organized over 20 large-scale offline activities, and established three new local chapters in Shenzhen, Jinan, and Baoding, continuously consolidating the organizational foundation. Alumni activities were diverse, including traditional programs such as sports events and alumni enterprise visits, as well as innovative initiatives like professional forums and online reading clubs. Particularly in sports associations, North China alumni achieved remarkable results: the basketball team won the championship of the first Beijing EMBA Alliance Challenge; the Gobi 20 Team set a new school record in the 20th Xuanzang Road Gobi Challenge; and the Badminton Association claimed a ranking in its debut at global business school competitions. In addition, the alumni association actively organized public welfare collaborations and assisted the mother school in enrollment promotion, fulfilling the goal of uniting alumni and achieving mutual empowerment. Financially, under prudent operation, the current fund balance of the alumni association was publicly disclosed, providing a solid foundation for future work. Secretary-General QIN also frankly pointed out shortcomings in the depth of resource integration, coverage of graduated alumni, and diversification of activity formats, and put forward suggestions for future work such as deepening digital construction and building an alumni mentor pool.

Immediately afterwards, Mr. Xuesen FENG, President of the 3rd Alumni Association, delivered a speech on behalf of the 3rd Board. He commented on the work report, shared profound insights from leading the board in serving the alumni community, and expressed gratitude for the support of all board members and alumni. President FENG emphasized that every achievement of the 3rd Board was inseparable from everyone's trust and joint efforts. He affectionately encouraged the new board to build on the solid foundation laid, continue to stimulate the vitality of the alumni network, make the North China Alumni Association more cohesive and influential, and wished the 4th Board greater glory on its new journey.
Review and Election Open, Fair, and Uniting New Forces
The meeting entered its core agenda. Mr. Bingsen WANG read out the "Qualification Review Report and Election Rules for Candidates of the 4th Board" as the school's representative. Subsequently, candidates for Vice President, Deputy Secretary-General, and Standing Board Member delivered campaign speeches one by one, elaborating on their service concepts and work plans.

Witnessed by all attending alumni, the meeting conducted an open vote. Ms. Jing WANG, Deputy Director of the EMBA Program, and Ms. Liang JING, Senior Manager of EMBA Teaching and North China Alumni Affairs, served as vote supervisors to ensure the fairness and transparency of the election process. After statistical verification, the meeting successfully elected the 4th Board of emlyon North China Alumni Association.

Certification Ceremony Officially Inaugurated, Continuing the Glory
In a solemn ceremony, Dr. Wenlong XING, Dean of emlyon business school Asia, awarded appointment letters to the Honorary Presidents, President, Secretary-General, Vice Presidents, and Deputy Secretary-Generals of the 4th Board one by one; Ms. Peng PENG and Dr. Jason ZHANG respectively awarded appointment letters to Board Members and Standing Board Members. Each appointment letter not only represents official recognition of individual responsibility but also marks the full launch of a new journey for the North China Alumni Association.
Mr. Bingsen WANG, Honorary President of the new 4th emlyon North China Alumni Association, Mr. Xuesen FENG, President, and Mr. Zhongji QIN, Executive President & Secretary-General, delivered inauguration speeches respectively. They thanked the alumni for their trust and stated that the new board will uphold the service tenet, unite the strength of all North China alumni, actively build an open, collaborative, and symbiotic alumni ecosystem, and strive to make the alumni association an important platform for connecting each other, empowering growth, and creating value.

Founded in Beijing in April 2019, the emlyon North China Alumni Association is an important bridge connecting the mother school with alumni in North China.

Meanwile, the emlyon North China Alumni Association ushered in an important milestone — the "Alumni Home" licensing ceremony was successfully completed in a solemn and warm atmosphere. This grand event not only marks a new chapter in the development of the alumni association but also builds a closer and warmer communication platform for the majority of alumni.
