Students from the MSc in International Marketing and Business Development (IMBD) and MSc in Global Innovation & Entrepreneurship (GIE) embarked on a 10-week immersive learning journey in Vietnam.

From classrooms and company visits to cultural exploration and field experiences, students travelled across Hanoi, Ninh Binh and Ho Chi Minh City, gaining first-hand insights into Vietnam’s society, industries and evolving business environment.

Exploring Vietnam Beyond the Classroom

The journey began in Hanoi, where students were introduced to the programme and upcoming academic activities. In Ninh Binh, they explored the region’s iconic karst landscapes while discovering local rural culture.

In Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta, students explored local ecosystems, agriculture and the coffee industry, gaining a closer understanding of the communities and economic activities shaping southern Vietnam.

Discovering a Dynamic Business Ecosystem

GIE students, accompanied by the CFVG programme team, visited a range of local businesses and industries, from traditional ceramics and coconut processing to agriculture. These experiences offered a closer look at Vietnam’s key economic sectors and diverse development pathways.

Students also attended the 2025 France–Vietnam Economic Exchange Summit, engaging with representatives of French companies and exploring business opportunities in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.

Learning Through Cross-Cultural Experiences

More than an academic study trip, this 10-week experience allowed students to step beyond the classroom, engage with local communities and develop a deeper understanding of different cultural and business environments.

Through field-based learning, company visits and cultural exchanges, students strengthened their international outlook, cross-cultural communication skills and understanding of global business.

The journey may have come to an end, but the insights and experiences gained in Vietnam will continue to shape their perspectives as they move forward on the international stage.
