Prof. Gao has initiated the online "Agile Co-creation" course and developed innovative courses such as Strategic Decoding Workshop and Brand Refine Workshops. He has created the Integrated Leadership Development System (ALL) with the action learning approach and applied it to the Talent Development and Performance Improvement programs for many leading companies in China, including China Southern Power Grid, Bank of Communications, Eastern Airlines, Baosteel, Baoxin Bird and Trina Solar.

Prof. Gao is known as a pioneer of action learning in China and has organized a series of international action learning forums in China and hosted the National Business School Action Learning Trainer Training Program.

Prof. Gao is the author of "Agile Co-creation - Let Learning Directly Create Achievements", "Action Learning - Theory, Practice and Cases" (the first textbook in the field of action learning in China), "Out of the Cave - Three Practices of Entrepreneurs in the Great Transformation Period" and a large number of articles in these fields.

As one of the co-founders, Prof. Gao initiated China Management 100 Forum to bring together C-level executives from GE, Ping An, Vanke, Haier, LeTV, Didi, Lenovo, TCL, CMB, China UnionPay, Baosteel, Eastern Airlines, Fosun and management educators to explore the frontier of management education.
